Annual Nut Harvest Safety Day, July 11 (Registration 7am/Training 8am)
Kings and Tulare Counties will host their annual safety event for Nut Harvesting workers on Wednesday, July 11 at the Kings Co. Fairgrounds in Hanford, from 8 am to 12 pm. Lunch will be provided to all participants for free.
Financial sponsorship for this event is provided by Kings and Tulare County Farm Bureaus and the American Pistachio Growers. The Tulare-Kings UCCE office is also a co-supporter of this training event.
Family Healthcare Network will offer free health screenings from 7:00 am to 8:00 am for any attendee that is interested.
Presenters from Nationwide, CHP, DPR, and UCCE will host presentations on basic worker safety, equipment, road, and chemical safety and heat illness prevention. Classes will be held in Spanish and English.
