Education & Scholarship Fund

The Tulare County Farm Bureau's Education and Scholarship Fund supports local Agricultural Youth

The TCFB Education & Scholarship Fund, which was established as a 501(c)3 charitable trust in 1988, has awarded more than $200,000 in scholarships to deserving Tulare County students since 1990. Each year the Board of Trustees is tasked with reviewing the financial investments and endowment funds of the trust, and managing them for the purpose of growth and stability.

The charitable trust also funds the Youth Leadership Program and the Education Committee’s efforts annually providing for numerous school garden grants, hosting plant giveaways, assisting teachers and students with agricultural literacy programs, coordinating the Art Calendar Contest, the Imagine this… Writing Contest, and an annual Superintendents’ Breakfast. The committee also works in partnership with College of the Sequoias, the International Agri-Center, AgVentures Learning Center, the Tulare County Office of Education and their Nutrition Obesity Education Prevention program (NOEP) and the University of California’s Cooperative Extension 4-H Program as well as Master Gardeners.

The fund has one major source of funding, the annual spring fundraiser gala. All of TCFB’s Education, Scholarship and Youth Leader programs are funded through this annual effort. Gifts in any amount from individuals, estates, memorial contributions and businesses are tax deductible and always welcomed.
