Environmental Stewardship
Farm Bureau is active in many environmental issues, working to promote environmental stewardship, and conserve and protect natural resources including land, water and air. The Board of Directors meet regularly to discuss important topics that impact the environment, and advocacy efforts are based on policies and ideas aligned with county, state and American Farm Bureau policy statements.
Agriculturalists are true environmental stewards, working to cultivate natural resources in a responsible manner while protecting the environment. Many working farms provide habitat for wildlife, help stabilize soil conditions, promote efficient use of water and on farm water conservation strategies, and are actively implementing best management practices to produce a safe, affordable, and reliable food and fiber supply for domestic and international markets.
Farm Bureau is committed to being an advocate for today’s farming and ranching communities, and works closely with commodity associations and local and state government to help advocate agriculture’s needs.
