Water is Agriculture's Lifeblood
Farm Bureau’s Water Committee is an ad hoc group assembled from time to time to surface, analyze, and monitor water resource issues that face agriculture in the San Joaquin Valley. The stakeholder group is tasked with monitoring legislative and political actions that result in ground water and surface water supply limitations, and has representatives from various irrigation districts, and the public and private sector representing the diverse needs of agricultural and municipal users in the county. The committee has been meeting less frequently since the inception of SGMA.
